Awesome!!!

http://www.livescience.com/animals/0...st-spider.html

About the size of a standard CD, a newly described spider is now considered the largest in a class of web-spinners.

The oversized dimensions — a body length of 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) and a leg span of 4 to 5 inches (10 to 12 cm) — describe the females of N. komaci only. The males, which are considered normal-size spiders, are on average five times smaller.

^ you're not alone, there's alot of people who also have arachnophobia too.

Besides the threat and danger some spiders may pose, I admire how they're able to defy gravity and how they help to control pests such as flies

Yeah I know. It actually seems to run in my family. Both my dad and sister have it also. Though to varying degrees. Dad doesn't like them but can ignore them (though I think thats getting harder for him the older he gets) My sister screams and runs at the very sight of them. Me I can get close enough to kill them if they are inside my house. But if they are outside I ignore them...unless they get on me, then I go ballistic.

Which is why I leave them alone if they're outside. They're great at keeping the flying bug type pests under control. I also have always been amazed at how something so small and natural could create a strand that is stronger than steel of same size.

^ My ex-gf use to have panic attacks when she'd see a spider which was quite often so I'd usually capture the little buggers and take 'em outside to release 'em LOL

When I see a spider in my home, I usually capture it in a cup or with a sock and toss it outside so it can do what it does best: Pest Control

I like spiders. Nothing to fear. They're just bugs.
